The door of a Buddhist temple in Laval burned in one of four arson attacks of the night

Laval police are investigating four nighttime arson attacks on the same street, including one at a Buddhist temple that occurred while monks were inside.

The fourth fire that police say was started intentionally occurred at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday at the Laotian Buddhist Society at 3381 Boul Dagenais. Where is. The side door was set on fire as well as a chair that was outside the building.

He told CTV News he was concerned about the incident and unfortunately the security camera they had installed on the property stopped working a month ago.

“Yeah, it’s scary that they’re trying to do it again. I don’t know,” he said.

He said it was the first time an incident like this had happened and wondered why his building was being targeted.

Police spokeswoman Chantal Morreau said the suspects set fire to two dumpsters at two different addresses and burned a tire at a third location, all on the same strip of Boulevard Dagenais Ouest and in l space of about an hour, starting at 10:24 a.m. pm

Police do not have a description of a suspect but said the investigation is ongoing.
