LOGAN Temple continues its legacy by building housing for a bright future

SAN DIEGO — When Virgil Ward was named the new pastor of Logan Temple AME Zion Church in September 2018, he made it his mission to ensure the historic church found new ways to serve its local community. Now Pastor Ward is fulfilling his charge to God and his denomination by building homes for the people.

At below-market rents, these high-quality residences are designed by award-winning architectural firm 64North. The project will not only benefit the neighborhood, but will also help support the church financially, ensuring the church has a future as bright as its past.

“We are thrilled with our new family-oriented development, and in honor of LOGAN Temple’s incredible history of service to this community, we are calling it ‘Legacy Place.’
